This module offers a comprehensive view of the best farming practices in greenhouse cultivation, covering various aspects of the spectrum.
Estudiantes
Introduce and motivate the participants to the problem of control, as well as to lay the necessary mathematical, practical, and operational foundations. To have knowledge about modelling and control of certain variables, and to program orderly sequences of actions capable of automatically taking a process from one operating state to another. Identify the constituent elements of a robot and be able to properly understand a project of a robotic installation that may be encountered in an agricultural application.
Estudiantes
The climatic variables that directly affect crop growth are temperature, radiation and CO2 concentration; although it is also necessary to ensure humidity conditions that don’t damage the plants. Therefore, these are the climatic variables that must be controlled. The main objective of this modules is to explain the advantages and the need for the application of automatic control techniques in the fundamental processes of greenhouse crop production, specifically the control of climatic variables.
Estudiantes
This module focuses on climate technologies and equipment used in greenhouse farming, specifically addressing microclimate control, heating, ventilation, cooling, humidity control, and artificial lighting.
Estudiantes
This module aims to achieve several key objectives. The main objective of this module is to understand the energy use in greenhouse production and to know how to manage equipment/sensors to measure and analyze energy consumption. In addition, the best energy saving measures to improve energy efficiency in this production system will be identified. Lastly, taking into consideration the sustainability of greenhouse production, the use of renewable energy sources will be addressed as a measure of energy savings and efficiency.

The main objective of the greenhouse digitization course is to introduce and motivate participants to the issue of agricultural digitization. It addresses the fundamental bases of data acquisition systems, the various communication networks and IoT sensor nodes, which play a crucial role in the communication between the physical and digital world in the agricultural context. Throughout the course, participants will develop knowledge about digitization and learn the steps necessary to implement an IoT system in the agricultural environment. In addition, they will be familiarized with the tools and technologies that facilitate cloud-based decision making. At the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the necessary skills to understand and address the challenges of digitization in agriculture, and will be able to apply their knowledge in process optimization and strategic decision making in this field.
Estudiantes
This module focuses on coverage techniques and materials used in greenhouse farming. It includes subchapters on innovative covering materials and innovative mulching techniques.
Estudiantes
This module focuses on the principles of the circular economy and their application in the context of greenhouse farming. It includes subchapters on the principles of circular economy and agricultural plastic waste management.
Estudiantes
The main objective of this course is to offer a comprehensive vision of "irrigation, fertigation, biostimulants, native AMF and nutrient analysis"; covering the knowledge about the different forms, techniques, use and application of these elements in agriculture. All this, under the premise that a correct use of these techniques can be very useful.
Estudiantes
This module places its emphasis on exploring the utilization of advanced greenhouses equipped with intelligent technology in order to maintain a reliable supply of top-notch raw materials for industrial purposes. Specifically, the focus is directed towards aromatic, medicinal plants, and herbs.
Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of these plants' applications in various sectors and develop essential technical skills for their cultivation. By the end of the module, students will be equipped to cultivate these plants in intelligent greenhouse environments, meeting industry demands.
Estudiantes
This module covers the essential aspects of business basics and their application in the context of greenhouse farming. It includes subchapters on operations management, accounting and finance, marketing and new product development, the world EU food system and modern industry, e-skills, and a practical guide.
Estudiantes
This module focuses on quality and safety aspects of greenhouse farming produce, as well as the national and international trade of agricultural products. It covers subchapters on quality, safety information, and food legislation; traceability; cooperatives, clusters, FPOs (Farmers Producer Organizations), and producer-consumer partnerships; and new market entrance channels, international fairs, and market/e-marketplaces.
